The grand event for the year is finally over...phew, a great load off my shoulder as i heaved a sigh of relief. With the closure of the staff retreat, the school year 2007 will be gradually coming to an end. What's left will be time for R & R. But there are 2 things still bogging my mind, one is positive while the other is however negative.
On the good note, I have found a resting place perfect for me psychologically and psychically. From the looks of things, I should be able to develop myself into a better person as well as a more rounded teacher. 2007 has been very much similar to a sine wave where I am a piece of floating debris, stationary but oscillating vertically with time. (Hopefully not only those taking physics understand but i very much doubt it.) To people I have unknowingly or purposely offended, I like to say a big SORRY to you. To those who have helped me in a way or another, I like to extend my warmest regards for without you, I would not have come so far.
"Life is a marathon not a 100 m sprint." This quote is really powerful and it has taken me a full 28 years to appreciate it.
Meanwhile, can a person have multiple identities? Imagine have 2 distinct characters living in a body, wun there be conflict within the heart and actions? It is indeed a double-edged sword and I have no idea when I can solve this riddle. But one thing is certain, POWER can corrupt a man.
